This Castleford team tasted success last year, winning the Year 7 title with a 50-28 victory over Malet Lambert and will be tough opponents in this year’s final.
So what makes this side so good?
"Their commitment, attitude and desire to win," says Head of Girls' PE, Carla Baxby.
"They're a really good bunch of girls who have a really good team ethic. We've got some really good athletic girls in the team as well."
Keith Bullimore, from the Castleford Tigers Foundation, coaches them and has a very successful record with the girls' teams at the school.
"He's really committed and they love his sessions," says Carla. "He's got them really engaged in rugby."
So what are the particular strengths of the team?
"They're pretty good all round and are very tough in defence but we have three or four really good runners who are agile and can break the line."
Captain Darcy Worth has led them to the final, but Carla is reluctant to pick out any individuals.
"We've had quite a big squad," she said.
"Some girls didn't have much game time in the earlier rounds but when it came to the later rounds they got their chance."
They have had some tussles against their opponents West Lakes from Cumbria, including a draw against them at the National Festival, and Carla is expecting a tough contest.
"We did see them in the Festival and they've got some really good players," she said.
"They're quite athletic girls, so I think it will be a really close match."
