Seven Catalans Dragons players set to face England

Seven Catalans Dragons players are set to face England tonight at Leigh Sports Village for France, kick-off 7.45pm.

Dragons’ star full-back Tony Gigot will start at centre for Les Chanticleers, Gigot helped Dragons win the Challenge Cup with his man-of-the-match performance earning him the Lance Todd Trophy, becoming the first ever Frenchman to win the award.

Benjamin Jullien was also in the starting line-up which made history for the side from the south of France, Jullien signed for Dragons from Warrington Wolves last year and also played in all three of France’s matches in the 2017 World Cup.

Jason Baitieri and Mickael Goudemand started as interchanges in the Challenge Cup final, Baitieri was only two appearances off his most appearances tally, he made 26, his most was back in 2015.

Goudemand made his debut for Dragons this year, the 21-year-old back-rower appeared nine times in Super League.

Alrix Da Costa, Lambert Belmas and Thibaut Margalet make up the final three Dragons players to represent France tonight at Leigh Sports Village.
