Great Britain Masters squad announced for 2018 games with Australia

Great Britain Masters squad announced for 2018 games with Australia

The Australian Masters tourist will arrive in England on 28th February 2018 to play games at five venues including internationals at Leigh Easts on March 10th. The Australian touring party will include almost forty players: there will therefore be two international games.

The Great Britain selection process was set in motion several weeks ago with over fifty players nominated by their own clubs and there were dozens of other worthy suggestions. Thirty-eight players, with the traditional spread of regions and short colours, from 18 different clubs have been selected to make up the Great Britain squad to take on Australia. Each of the Great Britain players will be awarded their own Heritage Number (HN).

The teams will again be coached by Paul Royston (HN 36); this year assisted by 2009 GB Tourist and Leigh East player, Dean Johnson (HN 30). The teams will be managed by the experienced Kath Wilson (HN100) of Leeds Masters and York Lokos, Simon Moat (HN120).
