Newcastle welcomed Hull this week in the Premier North, the result finished 40-28 to the home side.

Newcastle's Andrew Daglish scored a hat-trick in his side’s victory, with Sam Norris also crossing for one. Norris spoke about the match, he said: "It was a well fought game but we kept at it and played our style of rugby."

Josh Aldwinckle and Liam Tasker both scored, along with Matt Hogg, who also converted six of the seven tries. Hat-trick hero Daglish was given the man of the match award.

Hull's Kieran Smith was given the away side's man of the match after racking up a total of 12 points, through one try and four conversions.

The remainder of Hull's tries were scored by Ryan Kear, Jacob Phillips, Ryan Langton and Sam Wilkinson-Pycock.

Elsewhere in the Premier South there was a close tie between Northumbria and Leeds Beckett, with the away side getting the win.

Leeds Beckett won 19-13 after three tries from Jacob Morgan, Sion Jones and their man of the match Lee Registe with three conversions from Sam Druce. Northumbria only managed the two tries from Josh Clay and Adam Bielby with just one conversion from Dan Coates.

Coates was also successful with the home side’s penalty and drop goal attempt, with Curtis Edwards kicking the Leeds Beckett drop goal. Northumbria’s Josh Clay and Jed Charlton were awarded a joint man of the match due to both of their efforts.

The final game in the Premier South was between Nottingham and Leeds, as the home side earned a 36-16 win. Doubles from Ben Knight, Eddy Daly and James Frankenberger helped the home side but six from six conversions by Gareth Whitfield sealed the deal.

Brad Cook crossed twice for Leeds as Geraint Lawrence got the other, and Harry Aaronson kicked two conversions. However, it was Ollie Vickers who was given the away side’s man of the match while Nottingham’s man of the match was awarded to James Frankenberger.
