Glantaf were appearing in their third-successive Champion Schools final having won the Year 7 title at Wembley in 2015, but losing the Year 8 contest to Widnes' Wade Deacon in Richmond last year.
They got back to winning ways in style on Friday, completely outplaying Mirfield by not only taking their scoring chances but putting in a fine defensive effort too.
Harri Griffiths opened the scoring following a fine break down the right with Jac Lloyd adding the conversion for a 6-0 lead.
It took a while for the Yorkshire side to mount their first real attack, but handling errors meant they weren't able to capitalise.
Glantaf doubled their lead following a flowing move down the left after which they moved the ball smartly across to the right to enable Rhodri Thomas to touch down.
Jac Lloyd added the conversion and just before half time Josh Atkinson claimed another try to make it 16-0 at the interval.
Mirfield began the second half in positive fashion and had a potential try disallowed through a forward pass - this was to be the closest they would get to scoring.
Atkinson then claimed his second try which Jac Lloyd converted, before Glantaf were forced into some strong defensive work as Mirfield looked to get on the score sheet.
But the Welsh side had the final say when Iwan Jones went over for a try which was converted by Jac Lloyd.
