Castleford did not look back from Zak Hardaker's first-half brace of tries as the Tigers all but secured the League Leaders' Shield with a 23-4 victory over Salford Red Devils.
Hardaker went over underneath the posts in the seventh minute and the full-back touched down again after 26 minutes following some neat footwork past the Salford defence.
Luke Gale converted both scores to give the Betfred Super League leaders a 12-0 cushion at the interval, a lead that was reduced three minutes after the re-start when Manu Vatuvei grounded Todd Carney's grubber kick.

Carney failed to add the extras, though, and Castleford increased their lead on the hour when Paul McShane burst over from dummy half, with Gale adding the two points.
Jy Hitchcox then delighted the travelling support at the AJ Bell Stadium in the 64th minute by racing clear to touch down in the left corner, a try that was awarded after confirmation from the video referee.
Gale missed the touchline conversion but he made certain of the victory five minutes from time by splitting the posts with a drop goal as Castleford went 10 points clear at the top of the Super 8s standings with five games of the season remaining.
